Flatout University

Earlier this week, we received an exciting email from Nancy Berntsen, resident of Shelton, Connecticut and more importantly, mother of college student Tim Berntsen from Regent University in Virginia Beach.

After chatting back and forth with Nancy, she agreed to let us share her story. It looks and sounds like the classroom is not the only place Tim is excelling on campus!

“My college son just came home from Virginia on his quarterly break. He was eager to show me a package of Flatout flatbread he brought back from school. While home, he made us each a personal lo-carb pizza with pizza sauce, pepperoni and mozzarella. Finally, a lo-carb bread made without soy flour! (I prefer to stay away from soy flour.) The pizza was fantastic. Thanks to our Tim, we’ve got the best pizza crust for our diet now. I’m off to buy more of your Flatout flatbread today. Now the secret’s out how he’s been able to stay on his diet at school!”

We were so excited that Tim shared the love with his family in the form of one of our favorite ways to use Flatout wraps – pizza! Check out their delicious take on pepperoni:

    I had seen some of the mamavation ladies talking about Flatout Bread and then spotted it at Walmart a few weeks ago and bought it. It’s the only bread I use now. my absolute favorite thing to make are pizzas. We eat a lot of pizza in this house and with Flatout it’s now a much healthier option for us!

    Thanks for the awesome pic. Tim’s pizza looks great. Now, we low carbers can actually eat pizza again…one of my favorite foods. Kudos to Tim.
