Party Idea: Birthday Wrapping

When we get a good idea, we can’t help but share it as soon as possible with our fans. One of our team members recently shared this picture of Stacey Marsh’s daughter, Madison, on her 8th birthday last year.

As you can see from the picture, Madison is un”wrapping” more than just birthday presents on her special day! She is also creating her very own Flatout treat wrap, with peanut butter and granola, among other delicious toppings. You can see the final product went over well!

Our big idea? At your next birthday party, give everybody a present to wrap! Create a table filled with ingredients – from savory to sweet and everything in between. Then add several varieties of Flatout wraps to choose from. Based on the type of wrap the guest wants to make, they can choose the Flatout flavor that best completes the recipe!

Savory wrap ingredients could include:

  • Fresh deli meats
  • Sliced cheeses
  • Hummus
  • Condiments (mustard, mayo, salsa)
  • Lettuce
  • Fresh veggies (tomato, peppers, carrots)
  • Mixed nuts (chopped almonds, peanuts and cashews)

Sweet wrap ingredients could include:

  • Fresh fruits (apples, bananas, blueberries)
  • Chocolate chips (milk, white or dark)
  • Marshmallow fluff
  • Graham cracker crumbs
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Granola

The possibilities are limitless – and each guest is in charge of creating their own masterpiece! You can use a serrated knife to slice each wrap into pinwheels. That way, everyone can have a taste.

Just make sure the birthday girl or boy gets a candle to blow out, too!

We’d love to hear your fresh perspective:

  • Besides cake and ice cream, what foods do you usually serve at birthday parties?
