We’re just days away from one of the most-watched events on television this year! To get us in the spirit, we thought we’d kick it off with some fun and food-related Super Bowl facts, courtesy of YumSugar!

Did you know…?

  • An average of 8 million pounds of guacamole is consumed on Super Bowl Sunday.
  • But don’t forget about the chips! 14,500 tons are consumed on average with that guac.
  • An average of 17 people attend each Super Bowl viewing party.
  • More than $50 million is spent on food before the Super Bowl every year.
  • Super Bowl Sunday is the biggest winter grilling day of the year.

Armed with this knowledge, we here at Flatout know how we can help!

1) When making guacamole or any other type of dip, put a healthy twist on it with these tips from That’s Fit and Tanya Zuckerbrot: Healthy Super Bowl Dip Recipes!

2) Take your healthy chip and dip recipe one step further by serving our EdgeOn Crisps.

3) When serving food for a large crowd, we recommend Flatout Wrap Pinwheels. Click that link to have access to three videos from our founder, Stacey Marsh, as she puts together the perfect pinwheel party platter! Then say that last part 10 times fast.

4) Save money on ordering pizza by buying a variety of ingredients and Flatout Wraps so that everyone can make their own Flatout Wrap Pizzas. We’ve never met someone who didn’t like the way our wraps crisp up into a healthier, lighter version of their favorite thin crust!

5) When grilling out, replace the burger bun with a FOLDit Flatbread. It holds the burger in better while your eating and (though we may be biased) tastes better, too!

So now that you know the best way to use Flatout at your Super Bowl gathering, we are offering you a challenge and a chance to win a Flatout prize pack, armed with a sampling of various flavors of our wraps, FOLDit Flatbreads and EdgeOn Crisps.

Does that sound good? We hope so! Here’s how to enter:

  • Take a picture of you and/or your family and friends enjoying any of our Flatout products on Super Bowl Sunday.
  • Upload the picture to our Facebook page (you can upload it directly to our Super Bowl Snapshot album found here) or send it to us directly at so that we can upload it for you.
  • The winner will be chosen at random to receive a box of goodies!

You have until 11:59 pm EST on Monday, February 7 to enter. This will give you 24 hours of rest and recuperation to upload your photos, after what we’re sure promises to be an exciting day of football!

We can’t wait to see the amazing pictures you’ll be taking. Enjoy the game, be safe and most importantly…have FUN!

We’d love to hear your fresh perspective:

  • What are your Super Bowl weekend plans?

OK, I just tried to make my first flatout pizza. I sprayed the flatout with Pam on both sides and put in the 350 oven on a cookie sheet for 2-3 minutes, then topped it with sauce, cheese, and lots of veggies, back in the oven for about 15, then out. The flatouts didn’t get dry and hard — they remained floppy, and altho it was a good supper, it didn’t act like pizza and it ended up being a knife-and-fork meal. What did I do wrong? How do you bake a flatout to be hard?

My plans had been to host a Flatout Bread Super Bowl Party with the Flatout Bread party package that I won. Sadly, it did not arrive.

      Hi Sheryl,

We just sent you an email with more information about your shipment. Unfortunately, the adverse weather conditions in the Midwest this week created problems on the delivery end. We sincerely apologize for the issue and look forward to speaking with you.
